KEY OUTPUTS

  • Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements for business process automation using K2.
  • Support the development and maintenance of K2 SmartForms, Workflows, Views and SmartObjects.
  • Assist in creating functional specifications and basic technical documentation under guidance.
  • Support software testing and logging of test results, ensuring compliance with the IS Software Change Management Policy.
  • Provide basic application support and troubleshoot workflow-related issues.
  • Participate in deployments and updates to K2 solutions with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support data analysis and reporting tasks through K2 and Microsoft SQL Server.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED

  • National Senior/Matric certificate plus a three (3) year tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in software development or business process automation.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of:
    • Microsoft .NET C# (ASP.NET, MVC or Windows Forms)
    • K2 development (SmartForms, Workflows, SmartObjects)
    • SharePoint 2013 or higher
    • Microsoft SQL Server (2014 or higher)
  • Basic understanding of system design, testing and business processes.
  • A K2 Foundation or equivalent introductory certification is an advantage.

KEY OUTPUTS

  • Scheduling of all planning logistics for audit projects allocated.
  • To conduct audit reviews and evaluations on internal controls, control self-assessments, risk management, corporate governance practices, adequacy and effectiveness of controls within Legal Aid SA and rendering related advice to Management.
  • Prepare Risk and Controls Matrix and evaluate the adequacy of controls.

  • Determine the sampling methodology to be used for the Audit Programme and sample sizes.
  • Ensuring the maximum utilisation of Inventory Database for Environmental Analysis (IDEA) and TeamMate software and resolving all troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensuring quality of audit working papers and completion of all audit projects within the stipulated timeframes.
  • Reporting and ensuring that all fieldwork and delivery challenges are resolved timeously.
  • Perform audit fieldwork for more complicated areas and document the process flow and audit evidence on TeamMate.
  • Discussion of more complex exceptions with the Auditee, involving system and legislative issues, and documentation of both exceptions and findings.
  • Identification of areas that require specialist intervention.
  • Conducting standard and governance audits including ad hoc and special projects.
  • Assisting the ICT Audit Manager as and when required, in compiling the Findings Register, Tracking Schedules, heat maps and charts.
  • Conduct performance reviews of all subordinates.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES)

  • A recognised three (3) year degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Commerce or equivalent at NQF Level 6/7 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of IT auditing experience. Scope of experience should include IT General Controls Reviews and Application Controls Review.
  • Data analytics experience is essential.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CGEIT, CRISC or CISM will be an added advantage.
  • SAP auditing experience will be an advantage.
  • Network security/vulnerability testing experience will be an advantage.
  • Membership of the ISACA and Institute of Internal Auditors will be advantageous.

  • Maintain and keep the contract register complete and accurate, including the spending against the contract amount.
  • Policy drafting, review and implementation and developing and implementing compliance and procurement risk management frameworks.
  • Ensure that SLAs are in place for all contracted services.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with National Treasury to ensure the compliance of all procurement (variations, deviations, et cetera).
  • Maintain and monitor the irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure register.

KEY OUTPUTS

  • To ensure immediate response to client telephone call enquiries, complaints and/or concerns and provide advice, guidance and assistance on how to resolve the issue and/or assist clients to resolve their legal problem.
  • Receive telephone calls for immediate response and record them on the logging system.
  • Obtain adequate information from clients on support required from the Call Centre.
  • Guide client/representative to gain insight into the problem and advise the client on alternative ways to deal with the problem in line with legal best practice and principles.
  • Refer the client for appropriate legal assistance based on the information obtained during the interview (internally or externally) or proficiently act on behalf of the person to solve general non-litigation/advice matters such as dealing with delayed pension payouts, non-delivery of ID documents, et cetera.
  • Maintain accurate notes on the outcome of matters at all times as per the stipulated Call Centre format.
  • Ensure proper diarising of files and keep concise file notes for matters requiring follow-up and ensure timely follow-up of these matters.
  • Call clients for feedback on the quality of legal services and advice provided by legal practitioners and Call Centre agents.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED

  • National Senior/Matric certificate plus a Diploma in Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant one (1) year qualification.

Legal Aid South Africa is the biggest law firm in South Africa, with 64 Local Offices and 64 Satellite Offices throughout the country, employing well over 1,700 Legal Practitioners. Legal Aid SA invites aspirant recruitment agencies to be included on the Legal Aid SA Recruitment Agency Database for a period of five (5) years, from 2025 to 2030.

Primarily, Legal Aid SA conducts its advertising through print media and its website. Recruitment houses will only be used once these primary mediums are exhausted. Once on Legal Aid SA’s Recruitment Agency Database, agencies will be used on a rotational basis throughout the five-year period. The database will be updated every five (5) years.

Recruitment Agencies are required to submit the following information when applying:

  • Indicate the speciality, e.g.: Legal, Human Resources, Finance, IT, Communications/Marketing and Audit.
  • Company profile depicting project experience with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in recruitment agency services.
  • A minimum of four (4) reference letters or completion certificates from previous/present clients where recruitment agency services were/are rendered. All letters must be on a letterhead and signed by the client. The client must be contactable and the contact details provided must include:
